Athens Retro

Located on Vissis Street — once known as the “street of doorknobs” — Athens Retro reinterprets a historic commercial building into a boutique hospitality experience rooted in memory and materiality.

The project draws from the area’s industrial past and the building’s layered history, transforming a former hardware hub into a curated environment of mid-century references and contemporary comfort.

Each space is designed as part of a vertical narrative, where color, texture and atmosphere define distinct spatial identities. From terrazzo surfaces and vintage details to carefully balanced proportions, the architecture creates an immersive dialogue between past and present.

More than a place to stay, Athens Retro is conceived as an experience — a way to inhabit the nostalgic soul of the city while remaining connected to its evolving urban rhythm.
